New A-E2H1 Battery Adapter Enables All ENDURA Batteries to Work with Canon's HD Camcorder, Providing Long ENG and EFP Shooting Times

The A-E2H1 ENDURA Battery Adapter is designed to work seamlessly with the XL-H1 and XL-2 camcorders, attaching directly to each cameras' battery adapter and enabling any ENDURA battery to work with it. It uses advanced electronics to convert ENDURA battery voltage from 14.8V to the camera's 7.2V system and includes over-voltage protection. It also features a D-Tap DC-out port enabling professional on-camera lighting systems such as the IDX X3Lite to receive power from ENDURA batteries.

The A-E2H1 ENDURA Battery Adapter is available immediately through authorized IDX dealers around the world.

"Users of Canon's trailblazing XL-HI and XL-2 HD Camcorders, among the most popular ENG/EFP shooting units in the market today, can now take advantage of ENDURA's superior battery life for longer and more complete shoots" said George Elsaesser, IDX manager of business development. "We're pleased to bring this new efficiency to one of the world's most advanced portable HD systems."
