A new website - Zerorisk International - has been set up as an online support database for news industry safety, security and risk management, worldwide.

‘The main aim of this site is to provide any company who may not have the safety and security back up, with vital safety and security information’ say Zerorisk International. The site, facilitated by Chiron Resources Ltd, is ‘in response to the alarming rate of news crews and journalists who have been seriously injured or killed on active assignments in hostile environments’.

Designed as a ‘one stop news industry safety, security and risk management site’, it is supported by the News Security Risk Management Group, which is made up of senior mangers and editors from APTN, BBC, CNN, ITN and Reuters.

The site aims to provide subscribers with ‘…the latest news feeds, on the ground advice, contact advice, safe transit information, country briefs and above all threat assessments to prevent any unnecessary problems’.
